Halifax West End Golf Club are proud to be one of the first clubs in the country to receive the prestigious Junior Hub Accreditation. This new award is a collaboration between England Golf and the Golf Foundation with the goal of identifying and showcasing clubs that are the ‘right place’ for juniors to try, learn, and love golf.

Key to this award has been the work of Head Professional Darren Arber, who himself joined the Club as a junior. His community outreach, in-school programmes and holiday golf camps have introduced the game to many local youngsters. In addition his individual coaching allows golfers of all ages and abilities to progress in the game.

Alongside this Lee Gray, the Club’s Safeguarding and Welfare Officer, has overseen the implementation of policies and procedures to bring about SafeGolf Accreditation which is a partnership of UK and Ireland golf bodies committed to promoting a safe and positive environment for all those participating, working and volunteering in the sport of golf.
