As we move into 2019 and head towards the end of our Winter League season, things are heating up in each of the three competitions.

Saturday Morning Singles

As players start to accumulate their best six counting scores, we are starting to see the competition hotting up with John R Clay (32), Steve Blanchard (42), Chris Brough (44), Sam Le grow Clark (46), Jim Whitwell (47) and Shaun Diamond (48) fighting for the top spots.

Things can still change, as the chasing pack of Andrew Speak, Mick Holroyde, Ant Heywood and John Mellor all still have one maximum point score (50) to be excluded when they next play.

And of course, there are still a few dark horses out there with two or more max scores in their totals, who could have an impact on the final standings with five weeks still to play (weather permitting).

Saturday Afternoon Pairs

With eight rounds played, S. Cochrane and K. Todd (15 points) continue to dominate with seven wins under their belts, but I. Clegg and B. Cooper (13 points) or R. Greenwood and T. Morris (12 points) are not far behind and will be hoping to topple the leaders in the remaining weeks. Also, still in with a fighting chance are early leaders G. Gower and C. Martin (10 points) and R. Turner and R. Tiffany (10 points).

Sunday Morning Singles

With five weeks remaining, Rob Culledge continues to lead with 26 points, but is not far ahead of the chasing pack of Nick Hulme (25), Renee Gorman (24), Warren Parker (23), Shaun Diamond (23), Steve Blanchard (22), Gerry Gorman (19), all of whom have the maximum of 10 results making up their points totals, so need to keep winning to improve on their current standings.
There are also a few more players who can join the race for the honours if they compete over the remaining weeks of the season.

Good Luck to all who are taking part!
